Our Philosophy

Building Blocks Developmental Preschool has long been an early intervention and preschool program dedicated to educational excellence and committed to meeting the developmental needs of all young children.  It is the philosophy of our program that all children possess the ability to learn and all children possess special qualities unique to themselves. 

The central role of our preschool program is to support families and children in the all important process of helping children reach their potential.  It is furthermore our belief that staff members are always to be mindful of this partnership with families in facilitating the growth and development of these unique and very special youngsters entrusted to our care.  Additionally, as an agency, we strive, at all times, to create a warm, supportive and respectful learning environment for young children whether being educated in our school center, at home or elsewhere.  

Our professional and paraprofessional staff, along with caregivers, district personnel, and service coordinators continually assess and reassess children’s needs, set outcomes, and develop educational and therapeutic activities to address these outcomes.  Through this experience, each child’s self-confidence and self-esteem is fostered, thus enabling each child to achieve developmental gains.
